Inspiration comes in many different forms, in this case it's the loss of a friend. I've lost a friend a few years back and I've felt completely lost and thought it was my fault. Most people have felt like that when they lose some who they were close with and that's what I want to reflect with this piece. The piece shows two sides of a friendship and how feelings vary. Usually one person in the friendship is glad that they've let of of someone while the other one is devastated and feels like they're falling. Everyone can relate that's it's easy and hard to let go and it takes time to recover.

What inspired me to make this piece of artwork is how people bottle up their emotions that they feel like they're falling apart inside. Everything falls apart for them and that's what the cracks and glass shards stand for. This piece means a lot to me because I've felt like I've fall apart inside, like everyone does when under a lot of stress. Chalk was used for this piece and it looks really nice with the blue and black mixing with each other. When anyone looks at this I want them to understand that they're not alone.

For my perceiving spaces project I wanted to draw a coffee cup to symbolize the tiredness everyone experiences. The hand that is to the side of the cup shows that's it's tired of everyday life and coffee is the only way to stay up. The spoon stirs the coffee to release the coffee's warmth which is what everyone desperately wants. The tiredness of the world falls back on coffee to keep them awake, the reality of the world disappears when the black cup is in hand.

For my perceiving edges project I wanted draw a city in fire to show what will happen to the world if people didn't change their ways. Sadly the project ended in failure because I couldn't what was going to me my focal point. I was going to have it be the glass shattering on the buildings then I decided it to be the fire around buildings. Then I lost my motivation since I changed it a lot from the original idea. So deem this as a failure but I'm not going to throw it away. I'm going to work on it till it's where I want it to be.
