About
Ever since I was a child in an elementary art class, I have always wanted to increase my art abilities. I did not know I was even good at painting until my sixth grade year, as every project I did I worked with clay and paint. Very rarely was I critical about my art and always thought highly of it until I got to middle school and saw amazing artwork and ideas from other people in my grade. Even if I didn't like my drawings and sketches, I loved my paintings because I had more control with the colors.
My influences would have to be the people and environment around me. Almost all of my friends are artists and I have always enjoyed their artwork, never my own. My family would be huge factor as well because they have brought me to the lowest point in my life. For that reason my artwork has always been about breaking away from the negativity snd changing the outlook. I would want people to take that from my art and be reassured that they re not the only alone.
My experiences with depression and anxiety helped shape the way my artwork looks and the message behind it. My art is usually dark in color and unforgiving or bright and meaningful. It goes either way with the message of the piece as well, as no one piece is the same. Some give an encouraging outlook on life while others show what it is like to be drowning in thoughts and emotions.
